Located on the Mondi Utrecht Estate 30km from Utrecht on the Paulpietersburg Road via Knights Hill Pass, the Bivane River Lodge is an eight bed self-catering cottage on a section of the pristine Bivane River overlooking a series of waterfalls.
Fly-fishing for trout and yellowtail is available on 15km of the river as it traverses the estate. A multitude of forest tracks offer both scenic walks, as well as quad biking opportunities, both along the river and through the surrounding forest.
The lodge has an outside lapa, braai (barbeque) area and sundeck overlooking the river and is the perfect venue to give visitors that “get away from it all” feeling.
The area is also renowned for its birding potential and species noted in the vicinity of the lodge include Bald Ibis, all three crane species, African Finfoot, Stanleys Bustard and Ground Woodpeckers.
