The owners estimate that it was built around the turn of the previous century since much of it is built with green bricks (mud bricks) and dressed stone. In 1997 the farm was abandoned and thieves and vandals stripped the entire homestead of everything valuable. Rebuilding began in October 1999 and was completed in July 2000.
