Loch Maree Guest Farm offers accommodation in a Family Suite, a Bush Camp, as well as a Field Camp. The camps are unfenced, bringing the open veld right to your door.  This gives visitors the chance to experience the beautiful tree and grass savanna veld of the Kalahari with its rich birdlife – colonies of social weavers, busily constructing their massive haystack-like nests, sandgrouse, vultures, eagles and falcons – to name a view. Springbok and gemsbok roam the hot sand and be on the lookout for the rare Scimitar Oryx, which formerly inhabited the whole of North Africa, but has been classified as extinct.  The horizons stretch further and the sky is bigger than anywhere else.

For those who want something more comfortable, Loch Maree Guest Farm offers a luxurious Family Suite with a swimming pool at your doorstep.  Dinner is served on request. Come and enjoy friendly Kalahari hospitality with Johann and Retha Stadler!

Loch Maree Family Suite:

• Loch Maree Family Suite offers accommodation in two rooms;
• Maximum people per room:  1x4p and 1×2 persons (sharing a bathroom).

Meals:

Breakfast is included with dinner served on request “in fine dining, traditional Kalahari fashion”.  Our Gemsbok sirloin is a must.

• Braai (barbeque) facilities;

Loch Maree Field Camp:

• Loch Maree Field Camp offers accomodation in three huts and seven campsites. The campsites have 220v, 15 amp electricity for 24 hours a day;
• Maximum people per hut: 2x7p and 1×4 persons;
• Braai (barbeque) packs with salad and freshly baked bread on request.

Facilities:

• Fully equipped with two showers and two toilets;
• Firewood included;
• A small shop with basic supplies are 10km from Loch Maree Guest Farm.

Loch Maree Bush Camp:

• Number of sites:  Boundless – in open veld;
• Please note that there is no electricity;
• Braai (barbeque) packs with salad and freshly baked bread on request.

Facilities:

• Two showers and one flush toilet.  There is a donkey for hot water;
• Firewood included;
• A small shop with basic supplies are 10km from Loch Maree Guest Farm.

Activities:

• Circular drive route in our Private Game Reserve (4×4 vehicle needed);
• 50km 4×4 selfdrive route;
• Hunting (winter season) – bookings from end of January (+27 82 492 3469);
• Game drives with sundowners on Kalahari Dune;
• Lookout point with a shed and braai (barbeque) facility on a high dune to observe the Kalahari dunes and be surprised by a white salt pan amongst the dunes;
• Swimming pool at main premises.
