Conveniently situated just outside Mooi River, the Manor is set in the heart of the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands, with dams and rivers nearby for the purist fly-fisherman. Built at the turn of the last century, this stately country mansion is surrounded by giant oak and fir trees, providing a tranquil setting for a quiet getaway.
Each of the 19 suites is tastefully and stylishly decorated in old English manor style. All suites are equipped with LCD televisions, DSTV, tea/coffee-making facilities, a bar fridge, safe and telephone. Selected suites have the added luxury of a fireplace.
Eleven of the suites are situated in the manor house and eight are in the gardens, away from the main house. The Honeymoon Suite is in a class of its own, with a bedroom and lounge, each with its own fireplace, and a lavish en-suite bathroom.
The elegance of a bygone era can be seen in the original hand-crafted banister of the staircase leading down to the à la carte restaurant, famous for its fine dining and vintage wines.
Apart from luxurious accommodation, Lords of the Manor also offers a well-equipped conference room for business functions and a quaint chapel for small, intimate weddings.
