Panorama Rest Camp is ideally situated on the Mpumalanga escarpment with a stunning view over the Graskop Gorge and Lowveld. The high mountain‘s and cliffs, forests and grasslands, waterfalls and rivers are an ideal setting for a holiday or stopover.
The camp offers self-catering chalets for two to six persons. Each chalet is fitted with an equipped kitchen and bathroom and shower facilities. Camping and caravan sites with clean ablution and laundromat facilities are also available.
There is a kiosk on site with necessities and arts and crafts on sale. The popular cold water swimming pool was built around the natural rocks and on the very edge of the Graskop Gorge. Short hikes of one to two hours can be arranged.
Graskop and the surrounding areas provide a range of outdoor adventure activities. Hiking trails range from 1-hour walks to three day hikes of mountain, waterfall and bird viewing. The 68m big swing and foefie slide is the biggest freefall activity of its kind in South Africa. Local tour operators offer motor biking and quad biking ranging from a few hours to full day trips. Horse-riding, 4×4 trails, gold panning and golf are also available.
