Sadawatara Guest Cottage is set on a stunning indigenous flower farm just off the R62 route outside the village of Krakeel in the Langkloof.
This comfortable self-catering guest cottage sleeps four guests and is the perfect choice for the nature lover. Enjoy a dazzling display of Watsonia during spring and summer and visit our expansive nursery, which, in addition to indigenous bulbs, features a wide selection of trees, aloes and succulents. Go for hikes in the fynbos, take trips to the nearby Kouga Mountains, swim in our dam or relax around a braai (barbeque) in a delightful setting.
The cottage is fully equipped and attractively furnished, featuring two double beds and pull-out sleeper couch, satellite television and there is internet on the premises. The kitchen is fitted with a microwave oven, four-plate gas stove and oven, toaster, kettle, etc. and steps out onto an entertainment deck. The bathroom consists of a shower, toilet and a basin.
If you so wish, bring along your favourite CD’s and DVD’s, listen or watch ours, or simply take out time to relax and meditate. If you’re a bookworm you’ll be delighted to browse through our extensive collection of books.
For the outdoor enthusiast there are hiking, 4×4, off road biking/cycling and quadbike trails in the Tsitsikama and Kouga Mountains. Other activities include mountain climbing, swimming and fishing, kayaking on the Kouga River, hikes to San rock-art sites and golf or bowls in Joubertina. Or you can simply take a leisurely hike on our private trial to a magnificent view site of the Langkloof Valley on the hills behind our property.
Sadawatara specialises in indigenous bulbs and in particular Watsonia. They have possibly one of the biggest selections and plantings of Watsonia in South Africa. The range of colour of both evergreen and deciduous varieties is stunning.
The farm is situated against the Tsitsikama Mountains amidst the Langkloof’s famous apple orchards and enjoys 180º views from sunrise to sunset and a jewelled sky at night.
