Experience a unique river cruise or river safari on the Sundays River Ferry cruiser boat and enjoy the exceptional natural scenery and beauty of one of the top rated estuaries in South Africa. Sundays River Ferry cruiser is operational on the Sundays River that  flows through and borders on the new Southern section of the Addo Elephant National Park. This estuary and the surrounding area is malaria free and a mere 4.5km from the new Southern Gate entrance.

The Sundays River Ferry cruiser is a surveyed and licensed vessel that can carry up to 30 people on a cruise. The craft boasts a number of features such as a flushing toilet onboard, an upper viewing deck and easy on and off access via a retractable gangplank. The Sundays River Ferry is wheelchair accessible.

A number of tailor made cruise packages are offered, including cruises for occasions such as business team building, sundowner, leisure, bird-watching, party, booze cruises and many more. Sundays River Ferry also offers special upstream safari cruises to a secluded bush boma where you can experience a unique bush braai (barbeque) or spitbraai (barbeque) menus around a camp fire. A fully stocked cash bar is available. Should you wish to sleep over at the bush boma, you can enjoy backpacker accommodation that will complete the bush experience. Return transport, other than the ferry, can be arranged.

Experience the wonder of a cruise down to the Sundays River mouth to enjoy the breathtaking views of the world renowned Alexandria Coastal Dune Field, one of the largest of its kind in the world. Stop over at the dunes to explore, take photos, swim or perhaps do some sand boarding. Sand boards are available for rent.
