The Shire Eco Lodge is situated 6km outside Stutterheim, bordering the indigenous Xholora forest.
This facility offers its guests beautiful walks to waterfalls and the spectacular Anderson Dam. These are numerous horse trails in the forests for visitors to explore as well as amazing birdlife.
Activities:
- Trout- and bass fishing;
- Rock climbing;
- Mountain biking; and
- Canoeing.
Visitors can visit the Shire Indigenous Nursery on the property for some interesting plants. Pottery workshop are also on offer.
