Louterwater Estate is a fruit farm with organized tours through the packing shed and orchards. There are also two beautiful hiking trails on the estate’s grounds, as well as a 4×4 route through orchards and fynbos in the mountains. The Bloukrans River Bridge and Plettenberg Bay can be seen from the hiking trails.
There are four log cabins and a camping site available next to the river. Mountain bikes and fishing are allowed.
Louterwater Estate is the first fruit farm that opened its gates to the public. There are picnic spots for day visitors. The estate is only 2km from the R62 and visitors can come and pick their own fruit. The Langkloof’s beauty is not visible from the road.
