Askham Chalets

Askham Chalets offer peace, tranquillity and a true Kalahari experience within secluded cottages, where you can enjoy breathtaking sunrises and splendid sunsets, as you stretch out on the soft Kalahari sands.

Each cottage consists of two bedrooms, equipped with 3/4 beds, and one bathroom with a shower, toilet and a basin. The kitchen is fully equipped with an oven and two hot plates, a microwave, kettle and two-slice toaster, as well as a 100 litre fridge. All cutlery and crockery are supplied. There is a braai (barbeque) on the deck and each cottage is quite secure and fenced in.

If you do not feel like preparing food, there is a charming local coffee shop in town that caters for breakfasts and other light meals. There are also several shops that sell wood and meats for a braai (barbeque).

Activities:

  • The area is a bird-watchers paradise;
  • San people and their culture;
  • 4×4 routes in surrounding area.

Askham Chalets is a snoozy stayover on your way to Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park or visiting Speed Week in September.
