“Bayama” is a Bemba word which means ‘Uncle’. Bayamas is also a tourist information service and houses the head-office of the Mpika Tourism Association. Maps and information for sightseeing tours, adventure, supplies and business are available.
The newly opened, spacious restaurant offers a variety of meals and snacks and can cater in for meetings, workshops and seminars. Braai (barbeque) facilities are also available for self-catering guests. Self-catering luxury chalets are offered equipped with double beds (optional additional bunker-bed), mosquito nets, hot shower, television and sitting area.
Camping facilities are available and security is provided 24/7. Bayamas also offer a breakdown service and vehicle repair- and service facilities. Backpackers are especially welcome.
