Bruintjieskraal Campsite offers 10 spacious campsites next to Groot Rivier, each with their own ablution (flush toilet and hot water shower) and braai (barbeque) area. There is no electricity, but they use a donkey or gas geyser for hot water. Please bring your own drinking water.
The following activities can be enjoyed on the farm of approximately 1000ha:
- Fishing;
- Swimming;
- Hiking;
- Relaxing;
- Mountain biking;
- Cycling; and
- Bird-watching.
A variety of game can be seen – visitors should look out for a pair of fish eagles breeding in the area. A moderate hike of two hours up the mountain will be rewarded with a magnificent view of the Paul Sauer dam and Hanekam mountain peak.
