Eagles Country Lodges

Eagles Country Lodges are set in the KZN Midlands in beautiful tranquil setting. The lodges can be described as a “Home Away From Home” experience. The new owners are Tony and Gloria Pillay have renovated and revamped the lodge previously known as ‘The Shed’.

Nothing beats the crisp air and relaxing atmosphere that has been created for the discerning country lovers.

Bonamanzi (See the Water) Lodge:

This lodge has a beautiful view of a dam and an equally stunning view of a black swimming pool. Visitors awake to the sight of water ducks, Dutch Quackers, a variety of birds that stroll leisurely outside this lodge.

The Angel Room and Duck Room:

These are family Lodges that accommodates two adults and two children and has a kitchenette, lounge, dining area and  an en-suite bathroom.

Ikhozi (Eagle) Guest Lodge:

A fully fitted main guest Lodge put together for your comfort. This guest lodge sleeps six adults and four children. Shower, toilet and bathroom facilities available. Guests have a view of a dam with beautiful Chinese Ducks swimming gracefully day and night. Guests can also watch the donkeys, horses, pigs and piglets quench their thirst from this dam. The bedrooms look out onto this dam.

The Ixolo (Peace) Lodge:

This is the ‘Peace‘ Lodge and can be described as an African experience as guests sleep under lovely thatch roofs. This Lodge is also fully fitted and guests can truly have a peaceful rest in this Lodge.

All lodges are fitted with a television and a DSTV selection.

Eagles Country Lodges also cater for large groups of people coming over for conferences or youth camps. The lodge has its own huge conference centre which is fully equipped with the latest equipment and is in the process of opening up its own restaurant and bar facilities.

The restaurant will aptly be named The Maharaja’s Palace
of eastern cuisine and will tempt the taste buds of guests with delicious eastern cuisine.

Entertainment for children is sought at the kids playground. Facilities offered – jungle gym, trampoline, swings, etc.

The lodge has a newly constructed black 10m swimming pool for the avid swimmer.

Animal life can be viewed at leisure, the lodge has its own horses, donkeys, ducks, chickens, fan-tail doves, ring-neck parrots, rabbits, pigs and piglets.

On the property are two huge dams that hold black bass for the keen fisherman. However, this is purely for fun and fishing is on a catch and release system.

The lodge also offers boating facilities to the nearby Midmar Dam, a popular water sport venue. The lodge boasts a qualified skipper to take you out on these beautiful waters to experience a bit of water sport.

Guests can hire jet skis from Midmar Dam boat hire for that extra thrill.
