Janet describes her business in her own words:
“My B&B isn’t a big business… it is my hobby and I love meeting people and promoting the area where I live. There is so much to see here… and it is all natural – the unspoilt beaches, parks, birds, whales, turtles, peoples… Zululand is so special and unique. I have been told many times that it is the first true feeling of being in Africa that overseas visitors experience. The weather is incredible, and it is the only place in the world where you have the sea, wetlands and big 5 game reserves within a half hour of each other. Which is why Nelson Mandela declared it a World Heritage Site. This is a world within a world – you enter into a true African experience. And we live here – and so try hard to provide the peace and tranquillity that is part of the ‘out of Africa – in Africa’ holiday of a lifetime.”
Janet’s ‘Ukuthula’ B&B (Ukuthula meaning ‘peace’) offers total privacy in three garden units, or in two double en-suite rooms in the house. Tea/coffee facilities are provided, air-conditioning, secure parking and a full English breakfast is served. Picnic baskets and light refreshments are available on request.
Janet’s is within five minutes walk of the post office, bank and shops. This is very affordable, very comfortable accommodation.
