Joy’s Tuck Shop is one of the most popular spots in Mogwase township, just 10 km from Sun City and less than 5 minutes from Pilanesberg National Park.
Joyce Molotsane started her business in 1996 after she had spotted a gap in the market. What began as an informal shop in a small wood cabin grew so popular, it soon burst its seams.
Today Joyce’s is resplendent in larger quarters, offering a wide variety of affordable foods and services including:
- Traditional dishes such as pap & vleis;
- Breakfast, lunch and supper;
- E-mail and Internet access;
- Public telephones;
- Photocopying;
- Typewriting and fax services;
- Catering services; and
- Tents for hire.
There are also braai (barbeque) facilities, complete with pool table, for self-caterers. Joyce’s is the ideal spot to hang out informally and learn more about the locals.
