Based at the Community Centre in Kranshoek, these women produce a wide range of excellent hand painted items including tablecloths, place mats, cushion covers and t-shirts. They produce items of excellent quality and value.
Kranshoek Griekwa Fabric Painting started out as a group of 10 people, who received three weeks training in fabric painting. They are now a group of five people that are making good progress. The establishments in the area, including restaurants, coffee shops and contractors, support them well. The quality of the work has greatly improved over time, and is at its best at the moment. They make aprons for the restaurants, coffee shops, butcheries and others, with the establishment’s name on the front. Items can be made to suit the client’s individual needs and tastes.
