The Mangetti National Park is located south of Rundu and officially opened its gates to tourists and the general public in 2014. The park covers an area of 420km² and was declared a national park in 2008, with the aim of enabling local communities to reduce rural poverty and unemployment through conservation. Much of their income is generated through trophy hunting, a popular sport for locals and visitors. View Eland and Blue Wildebeest, elephant, rhino, giraffe and the rare Sable antelope.
