Namakgale Tourism Information Centre and Tour Operator cc

Namakgale Tourism Information Centre and Tour Operators came into being after Clive was inspired by the African Dream Project’s Handbook. The aim of the business is to promote Ba-phalaborwa and Giyani areas, specifically focussing in on local culture. The Information Centre provides a market place where artists and crafters can display their products. These products include traditional clothes, arts and crafts, beadwork, pottery, wood carving. Visitors can also listen to some story tellings, view dance groups, talk to drum makers and find out more about the history of the old Dunas as well as the mines. The cultural composition includes a variety of people, from Shangaan, Vha-Venda and Northern Sotho to Zulu Speaking people.

The centre will also provide information to visitors as well as offer tour guides to different destinations in the area. Visitors can also experience the culture of the area through local cultural displays of every-day life activities.

Namakgale Tourism Information Centre will also aim to offer services such as bookings for accommodation, adventure tours, golf tours, overland tours, airport shuttles and so forth.  When in completion, there will also be traditional accommodation and conference facilities. A traditional village will also be part of the structure.

Clive explains in his own words:

The business is an essential tool that will assist in identifying different facilities for tourist that visit. The business aims to improve the community through stimulating tourism development, as well as business and training in the province.”
