Nature View Farm B&B

Nature View Farm B&B comprises a cliff top accommodation facility with a sunny upstairs bedroom (with large windows all around) with breathtaking views over the Kap River Nature Reserve.  The fully enclosed bathroom below includes a shower, hand basin and toilet. The private entrance leads into a breakfast nook with table and chairs, a small fridge and a kettle.  Complimentary tea and coffee, as well as cups and glasses are provided.  No other kitchen appliances, fittings or equipment are available. Strictly no cooking is allowed inside, on any private gas bottles, portable cookers, hotplates and the like.  Adjoining the unit, tucked away in the indigenous bush a private, a sheltered braai (barbeque) area with lights and a Koi fish pond, can be found for the use of guests.  Braai (barbeque) equipment and firewood are supplied. A maximum of two guests can be accommodated. All linen supplied.

Full English breakfasts are served on an optional basis; guests wishing to skip breakfasts are charged a reduced accommodation rate.  Alternatively, light refreshments and snacks can be enjoyed at the farmstall close by.

A total of 159 bird species have been identified on the farm.  African fish eagles, lanner falcons, rock kestrels Knysna turacos, trumpeter and crowned hornbills and kingfishers are quite commonly seen, some breeding along the cliff face below each season.  Game include zebra, red hartebeest, impala, bushbuck and giraffe, while tame warthogs and rock rabbits (Hyrax) visit the garden daily. Nature View Farm B&B also offer canoe rides starting from the river bank into the Kap River Nature Reserve. To reach the double canoe, guests need to undertake a 15 minute nature walk leading from the accommodation unit down to the river via a kloof.
