In the heart of Rharhabe Kingdom lies the Mngqesha Great Place, headquarters of the King Sandile Development Trust. Sandile Mngqesha currently offers accommodation in 16 African inspired chalets nestled in the foothills of the Amathole Mountain Range. Eventually 41 chalets will be erected, each one representing the culture of one of the 40 chieftaincies within the Kingdom and one representing the King.
The Kingdom houses a wealth of historical and cultural offerings. Visitors to the kingdom will be transported back to the stirring memorial and monuments of Elands Post, Fort Glanmrgan, Fort Murray, Fort Cox and Fort Hare, the memorials of the Battle of Amalinda and Boomah Pass Ambush, the imposing gravesite of King Mgolombane Sandile and many more.
