Seestêr Strandhuis is a beachfront property situated on a quiet street, within walking distance from the main beach and the CBD. It has an indigenous garden with a spectacular view of the beach. Dolphins pass by frequently and in winter whales make their annual visit.
The hosts at Seestêr Stranduis are Zdenek and Hilde Kucera. Zdenek is an accredited tourist guide and keen angler, who can point out the best angling spots. He also knows the weather, tides, and phases of the moon and where to find the best bait. Hilde likes shell collecting, is a student of local flora and makes quilts from South African fabrics. Both of them also enjoy playing bridge at the local club. Between the two of them, they speak English, Czech, Afrikaans, and a smattering of Russian German and Dutch.
The Seestêr Strandhuis offers fully equipped, self-catering apartments. These apartments include very good beds, bathroom and kitchenette, television with M-net, off street parking. Braai areas overlooking the sea.

Oyster – sleeps four persons, one bedroom with double bed and two singles in the sitting area. It has a sea view.
Perlemoen – sleeps four persons, one bedroom with double bed and two singles in the sitting area
Mussel – sleeps two persons on a double bed.
Cowrie – sleeps four persons in two bedrooms, one with double bed and two singles in the other
Rate range for 2007 is R250 – R600 per unit
All rooms come with linen and bath towels. Breakfast is also available on request.
Things to do in Jeffreys Bay and surrounding area:
Jeffreys Bay is world famous for its surfing, especially during June, July and August. Lessons can be taken from experts. Jeffreys Bay is also ideal for cycling past placid lagoons. The Kabeljous, Seekoei and Krom River lagoons host numerous water birds, and are also ideal for water sports like canoeing, board sailing, fishing and so on.
Other activities include whale watching (seasonal from July to October) sand boarding, horse-riding, hot-air ballooning, golf, bowls, tennis, squash and so forth.
Calamari is a speciality in the local restaurants, as well as other seafood dishes. Day trips to Addo Elephant Park, Shamwari Game Reserve, Baviaanskloof Wilderness, Storms River Mouth, Tsitsikamma Forest, Gamtoos River citrus farm, Langkloof apple farms. Personal visits to farms can be arranged. The local people are friendly and hospitable.
