The Jupiter is a family-style restaurant with a licensed pub serving proper South African dishes. Established in 2003, this was the first restaurant in Sutherland to offer off the menu meals bringing Karoo flavours to tourists and the local people. The main building dates back to the 1800’s and was renovated using the original frames and windows. They even kept the original wooden flooring.
They have an extensive menu that includes delicious Karoo cuisine. Jupiter also caters for groups of up to 45 people in a conference or social environment. There is a big screen television for sporting events.
The Jupiter also offers accommodation in four en-suite rooms. They can arrange registered Karoo outrides by 4×4 or motorbike by a qualified tourguide.
