Tugela Rapids Bush Camp

Tugela Rapids is a bush camp situated on the banks of the Thukela (Tugela) River in the Bergville district of KwaZulu-Natal.

Accommodation is offered in two chalets, sleeping four guests each. There are communal ablution facilities and visitors can enjoy a communal lapa with a large deck overlooking the river. Tugela Rapids is fully equipped and serviced daily. There are indoor and outdoor braai (barbeque) facilities. They have solar lighting and gas heating for cooking and there is a gas fridge with freezer space.

Guests must bring their own food, drinks, towels, mountain bikes, torches, binoculars, bird books, charcoal, fishing tackle and canoes.

There are also spectacular Iron Age ruins on the farm that have been declared a national monument.
