This caravan resort is situated on the edge of the town dam and has no fewer than 36 caravan stands, three chalets and nine fisherman’s cottages. The caravan stands are all situated under shady trees and with grassy lawns around two large communal ablution facilities. All the stands are electrified with standard caravan plug points. The chalets and cottages are all fully equipped for self-catering and all sleep four people. The cottages are situated on the waters edge and are ideal for the avid fisherman who would like to fish from his/her front patio. The whole complex is within easy walking distance of the Country Club, which offers a variety of sports facilities.
The Utrecht Balele Community Game Park surrounds the whole town of Utrecht and therefore makes Utrecht a Town Within a Game Park with no fences between the town and the game park. The Game Park covers an area of over 2500 ha and is stocked with no fewer than fifteen game species, including impala, blesbuck, kudu, blue wildebeast, red hartebeast, nyala, bushbuck, burchell’s zebra, common duiker, steenbuck, eland, waterbuck, mountian reedbuck, warthog and giraffe, not to mention the myriad of natural predators such as caracal, serval and now recently a resident leopard. The birdlife in the game park is prolific with over 250 species being recorded in the area and recently a wetland area has been rehabilitated, which includes a bird hide and has already attracted a number of new bird species to the park.
The vegetation in the park varies from open spaces and grassland to dense Acacia woodland and thickets, all the way to mountain grassland on top of the mountain plateaus.

The Game Park caters for all types, from those who just want a place to relax by a stream while enjoying a picnic to those who want to experience the bush up close and personal, while doing a guided walk or a sun-downer game drive. The game park is also equipped to tailor make holidays and team building and/or conference experiences.
For those who want to take part in the game park management, the park offers a limited amount of its annual “off take of animals” in the form of hunting packages to qualified hunters. With the registered game abattoir ready to prepare a bag to whatever is required, they offer the prospective hunter the ideal hunting destination.
