Velwano Community Development is non-profit organization established in 1998. Its focus is on the development of arts and culture and social and economic upliftment in Kouga in Gamtoos River Valley.
Velwano hosts more than 15 dancers and 9 crafters living in and around the rural areas of Hankey, who have a ‘culture of excellence’ as common objective.
Gloria describes the project in her own words:
“A non-profit organization working with the disadvantaged regardless of race culture or religion in the struggle against poverty amongst children, women the youth and the disabled.”
