Ymansdam Camping is situated near the Tankwa Karoo National Park at the foot of the Roggeveld Mountain, 90km from Calvinia.
Guests can choose between four campsites that also have ablution facilities. Please note that tents are not provided and guests have to bring their own. At night guests can relax around the camp fire and look up at the starry skies while enjoying the unbelievable fresh air so akin to the Karoo. Guests can also take tractor rides to lookout points where they can see various animals or enjoy a beautiful Karoo sunset. The sunsets are spectacular and every guest will receive a picnic basket filled with delicious treats.
Various walking, hiking and biking routes are located throughout the farm and for the more adventurous, there are also some amazing 4×4 trails in the area.

Please note that various facilities and services are available on the premises. These include purchasing firewood, braai (barbrque) areas under trees, meals by arrangement, outside ablution facilities and a warm shower. We also have a farm dam and hiking trails, walking, biking, 4×4 trails, bicycle touring and bird-watching are some of the activities to partake in, as well as donkey cart rides are available by appointment. We also have farm animals that can be viewed by the children.
