Edna Shawe is a resident artist and art teacher in Dundee. Edna has a wealth of talent and knowledge; she completed her BAFA through UNISA in 2002. She has subsequently taught art as a subject at the Dundee High School and currently conducts art classes from her home studio.
Edna has participated in group exhibitions in KwaZulu-Natal and her work is represented in permanent collections at both the Thatham Art Gallery in Pietermaritzburg and the Carnegie Art Gallery in Newcastle, as well as in private collections, both locally and internationally.
Her subject matter emanates from nature, whilst embracing the human condition.
