The Baviaanskloof Lodge is situated in unspoiled surroundings at the entrance to Loeriekloof in Cambria. The area hosts a variety of animal and bird species that include the magnificent Knysna Loerie.
The Loerie Hiking Trail, with its starting point at the lodge, leads the hiker to a breathtaking viewpoint with views of both the Baviaans and Kouga Mountain ranges. Another reward after the hike, is seeing a cycad estimated to be more than 3000 years old, and known to be one of the oldest surviving prehistoric plant species in the area.
Other activities include bird-watching, game-viewing, wildlife and photography.
