Bruintjieskraal Campsite offers ten spacious campsites next to Grootrivier, each with their own ablution (flush toilet and hot water shower) and braai (barbeque) area . There is no electricity, but they use a donkey or gas geyser for hot water. Please bring your own drinking water.
The following activities can be enjoyed on the farm of approximately 1000ha:
- Fishing;
- Swimming;
- Hiking;
- Relaxing;
- Mountain biking;
- Cycling; and
- Bird-watching.
A variety of game can be seen – visitors should look out for a pair of fish eagles breeding in the area. A moderate hike of two hours up the mountain will be rewarded with a magnificent view of the Paul Sauer dam and Hanekam mountain peak.
