Suitable for couples and small families.

Cottages:

Nestled in the lush green bush of Buccaneers are divine beach style cottages with stunning sea, river or garden views. Bright, colourful and simple, each with a character of its own, they are the perfect choice for families or groups of friends who want their own, private, self-contained space. Each cottage sleeps four guests as standard and has its own private sundeck or patio area with braai (barbeque) and basic kitchen facilities (although the pots and pans may gather dust once you’ve tucked into your first divine home-made dinner, available from Buccs every evening!). A great option for a week at the beach.

River & Bay View En-suite rooms:

Overlooking the serene Chintsa lagoon and gazing towards the East where the African sun smiles its morning greeting Buccaneers en-suite rooms are placed perfectly for that peaceful, relaxing South African getaway. Feel welcomed in by the warm colours and the creative atmosphere of each room as the sun streams in through the door, leading out to a private sun-deck looking out onto Chintsa Bay. Ideal for couples and families with young children each room has access to basic, shared kitchen facilities.

Budget Double & Twin rooms:

We also have a range of double and twin accommodation with prices varying according to room type and views. Situated in cute little beach cottages and with shared bathroom and living areas you can choose from a double room, the cabin or our budget double or twin option. Our budget double or twin rooms are perfect for couples and friends who are travelling on a shoe-string. With the privacy of a private room and the social advantages of a shared house all rolled into one, each of these spots opens out onto a stunning bougainvillea covered patio with seating and braai (barbeque) area to entertain your new friends!

Safari tents:

Our double and twin safari tents offer a great budget accommodation option. Supplied with beds and bedding and within easy distance of the bathrooms and kitchen, they take all the effort out of camping. We even have an outdoor bath if you’re feeling brave!

Dorms:

Our simple, airy dorms offer backpackers a safe place to rest their weary heads. Look down onto the white sands of Chintsa Bay and the stunning sea-views from the top of the property. All dorms are in close proximity to the backpackers’ communal kitchen and shower facilities, as well as the View of Africa Room restaurant and the Skebenga Bar.

Camping:

Camping is one of the most popular hostel accommodation options during the high season when people want to save their money for all the fun things that happen at Buccaneers – our festive bar, yummy meals and much much more…

With several campsites to choose from it’s up to you to decide where you pitch – our newest campsite is siutated at the bottom of the property, nestled behind the giant sand dunes of Chintsa beach and surrounded by South African forest and bush with new kitchen and ablution facilities right at hand.

Dining:

Breakfasts are served in the stunning View of Africa Room. An enormous deck gives you a sweeping view across the lagoon and over a vast stretch of coastline. Choices are from the highly healthy (fruit salads, homemade yoghurts, etc.) to the decidedly unhealthy (fried bacon and eggs). On Sundays we offer a FREE breakfast with fruit and fresh bread and eggs.

Enjoy a leisurely lunch at the poolside café.  The menu include salads, pizzas and tramezzinis. In winter lunch is served from the bar.

Buccaneers Pub and Long Table Restaurant:

At times very lively, sometimes very mellow, but always very friendly and easy going – a perfect place to impress the other travellers with your incredible travel yarns!
