Elandsheuwel Guest Farm is the ideal stopover for visitors travelling from George, Oudtshoorn, Port Elizabeth and even the Baviaanskloof Wilderness area.
The renovated, three bedroom, self-catering cottage is situated 6km from the main house – nestled between the mountains for complete peace and privacy. Visitors are welcome to explore the beauty of the veld and enjoy walking/mountain biking on the many ‘veldpaadjies’. Farm tracks can be explored with either 4×4 or 4×2 vehicles.
Elandsheuwel Guest farm also offers B&B or fully catered accommodation in two well-appointed bedrooms in a separate wing of the main house. Visitors can relax next to the swimming pool and enjoy the views.
The camping site which is situated in a revine is ideal for the nature lover. The campsite can accommodate up to 20 campers. Situated between Karoo vegetation and shady spots, it is the ideal place to pitch a tent – having a private spot, or sharing it with friends. With all the mod cons at hand, electricity, warm water and flush toilet, the outdoors can be enjoyed in comfort. The ablution block also has electricity and all the necessary ‘bush luxuries’.
Chris and Alicia enjoy taking their guests out in the veld on trips, exploring not only the beauty of the veld, but also experiencing the agricultural and eco-tourism benefits of the Karoo.
