Faraway Fields Farm

Faraway Fields Farm lies in a magical place high up on the Piketberg in an area known as Piket-Bo-Berg. Surrounded by pristine fynbos and productive citrus, apple and pear orchards, the views stretch far into the distance over Swartland wheatfields and vineyards.

At once a place of solitude and peace and on the other hand one of potential energetic mountain walks or exciting bike rides. It is here that the mind is stilled and the body recovers from the rigours of suburban life. The fynbos bird and plant life adds to the enchantment of the stupendous views.

Self-Catering Cottages:

Garden Cottage:

This cottage is the largest and lies near the main farmhouse, but is totally private. The cottage has two bedrooms – one with a double bed and one with two single beds, a kitchen, lounge/dining room and bathroom with a shower. Two patios catch the morning and afternoon sun and a fireplace warms those cold evenings.

Two in a Row, Sand and Sky Cottages:

As the name suggests these are two smaller cottages set 500m away from the main house, they sit next to, but do not overlook each other, maintaining a private aspect.

Both Sand and Sky Cottages share the same layout and fantastic view down the Wolf Kloof and way out over the Swartland to the Porterville Mountains. Each cottage has two bedrooms – one with a double bed and one with two single beds. A single bathroom and an open plan kitchen/lounge complete the picture.

Sand cottage has a spacious wooden balcony to further enhance that fantastic view.

Sustainable/Responsible Tourism:

We at Faraway Fields Farm are dedicated to the preservation of the natural fynbos and the environment around us.
