‘Geisterschlucht’ Cabin

Rustic ‘Geisterschlucht‘ Cabin nestles against massive granite boulders in a picturesque and sheltered valley of the Aus Mountains. It is ideally suited for families and groups. Only one party at a time will be put up there, regardless of the number of people, and will have the cabin all to itself.

Geisterschlucht’ Cabin consists of two dormitories with five bunk beds each, two showers and two organic toilets. Solar charged batteries provide 12 volt light. There are no bedding in the cabin, just clean cover sheets on the mattresses. Bedding can be ordered in advance at an additional cost. The kitchen and dining area is open plan. In the kitchen is a gas fridges and gas burners. There is not cutlery and crockery. There is also an outside grill for pleasant evenings together. Braai (barbecue) packs are available at the reception (Desert Horse Inn, 6km from ‘Geisterschlucht’ Cabin). Guests are more than welcome at the Inn’s restaurant (subject to space available, please enquire upon arrival).

Two hiking trails run through the valley; the habitat of the Wild Horses is just 20km away.
