The Hluhluwe Hotel is only 15 minutes’ drive from the renowned Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Game Reserve (the second oldest game reserve in the world – after Yellowstone Park in the USA). The hotel is also 20 minutes drive from the fossil-lined shores of False Bay, less than one hour from Sodwana Bay, St Lucia, Lake Sibaya, Cape Vidal and Mkuze Game Reserve.
Hluhluwe Safaris provides guests of the hotel with game drives to the Hluhluwe-iMfolozi park. All special packages include dinner, bed, breakfast, a boat cruise on the St Lucia estuary and a three hour game drive. Transport to and from the hotel is also included.
The hotel has 67 spacious fully air-conditioned rooms with en-suite bathrooms, television, tea/coffee facilities and a telephone. Daily laundry facilities are available. The restaurant is also air-conditioned and serves buffet breakfasts, à-la-carte lunches and either a buffet or braai (barbecue) dinner. There is a Rhino Bar in the hotel and another outdoor bar alongside the swimming pool. The hotel conference facility can seat up to 80 people and is equipped with a projector, white board, video machine, television and flip chart.
The hotel also has a lounge area and a curio shop. Zulu dancing performances traditionally occur after dinner if there is a large group in the hotel.
