Ladismith Tourism

Functions of the office:

  • The office encourage and assist in an orderly development of the tourism industry and ensure that the services the industry provides are of as high a quality as is reasonably possible.
  • The office coordinates the activities that provide services to its members and visitors to Ladismith/Kannaland to ensure that those services are of the highest possible standard;
  • The office endeavours to preserve and stimulate pride in the cultural heritage of Ladismith/Kannaland;
  • They use their best endeavours to prevent developments in tourism that, whether or not economic benefits may be gained, have a harmful affect on the social and cultural life of the people;
  • They discourage development that is likely to intrude on or disturb the daily life of the people or detract from their right to privacy;
  • The office encourages the greatest possible participation in the tourism industry;
  • The office uses its best endeavours to ensure that the largest possible financial benefit is obtained by Ladismith/Kannaland  from the tourism industry; and
  • They encourage people from other countries to visit Ladismith/Kannaland as tourists.
