Mabu Boase’s home is Welgeval, a hamlet about 10km north of Mogwase township. An enormously talented clay-potter, her creations range in size from a relatively modest half-kilogram to a substantial 10kg. All are ideal for a wide variety of applications, from cooking to storing liquids such as African beer to chilling water in summer. Not forgetting decorative uses such as flower arranging.
Mabu welcomes visitors to her studio for viewing and purchases. Should particular styles or sizes not be available, Mabu will happily create unique items to customers’ specifications by arrangement.
