Martha is a fine artist who specialises in oil paintings of a variety of subjects ie portraits, figures, animals and flowers. The painting style is bright and bold.
Martha grew up on a farm outside Pietermaritzburg and studied fine arts at the University of Natal after leaving school. After studying she taught art for four years; she stopped teaching to become and artist and start a family and has two boys aged three and five. Martha moved to Dundee in 1998 with her husband.
