Trackers Mountain Chalets

Trackers Mountain Chalets is situated in the mountains of the Klein Drakensberg, on the North Eastern Escarpment. Trackers offer self-catering chalets that overlook the Lowveld towards the Kruger Park and across the exit of the Blyde Canyon.

It is situated within a unique game farm, containing sections of the highveld and the major river in the lowveld, varying in altitude of 1200m. The surroundings contain Fynbos, natural forest to the Blyde River with Boababs lining the lowveld. The plant and animal life are as diverse as the habitat.

David and Julienne aim to “foster a love and understanding of nature through peaceful enjoyment of wild areas.”  They add that all birding and botanical groups are welcome, as well as individuals who want to appreciate the quiet and natural environment. Facilities include comfortable accommodation and delicious meals. Activities on the farm include swimming in the Blyde River, mountain treks and guided ornithological and botanical walks. David and Julienne also offer advice on day trips along the Blyde River Canyon and scenic routes, as well as other places of interest.
