Ubuntu Tourism Development is situated at the Ladysmith Cultural Centre. The venture was started by Sandile Khumalo in 2000, and offers visitors the opportunity to visit both townships and rural areas around Ladysmith.
Excursions offered include the Ladysmith Black Mambazo Beat Route, a Township Tour including a visit to a shebeen, an insight into the houses burnt down due to political violence and a visit with Uncle Gamede who has eight wives, 38 children, 57 grandchildren and 41 great grand children.
