At the edge of an ancient, parched river valley, shielded by a dune of red Kalahari sand, Vogelstrausskluft Lodge is situated in one of the most beautiful locations of the surrounding territory. For the visitor, who approaches the lodge over a small hill, a wide view opens over the grassy bottom of the valley, in the centre of which, surrounded by some trees, one of the few water holes is found where the animals come for water in dawn and dusk. Embedded in this harsh desert surrounding that constantly changes, Vogelstrausskluft Lodge offers the possibility to experience the wonders of Africa and the desert very closely, without having to abandon certain amenities.
Accommodation:
All 24 en-suite rooms are tastefully decorated and equipped with air-conditioning, electricity and a small veranda with a view into the valley. Comfortably accessible via short paths, the restaurant and reception building is situated in the middle of the lodge.
