The Baviaanskloof Lodge is situated in unspoiled surroundings at the entrance to Loeriekloof in Cambria. The area hosts a variety of animal and bird species that include the magnificent Knysna Loerie.
The Loerie hiking trail, with its starting point at the Lodge, leads the hiker to a breathtaking viewpoint with views of both the Baviaans and Kouga Mountain ranges. Another reward after the hike, is seeing a cycad estimated to be more than 3000 years old, and known to be one of the oldest surviving prehistoric plant species in the area. Other activities include bird watching, game viewing, wildlife and photography.
