Bontebok Tours and Travel was established in the beginning of 2002. The mission of the company is to provide a full range of tourist and travel services to the public of Swellendam and surrounding towns, as well as to provide add-on value for all visitors to Swellendam by marketing a range of local tours and activities.
The company structure includes a well-established travel agency located at the Swellegrebel Hotel, and a tourist centre located in Swellengrebel Road. The two locations are linked via computers, making either location a 1-stop tourism shop!
Services on offer include flight and bus bookings, shuttle services to and from Cape Town, personalised itinerary planning, and guided tours in and around Swellendam. The office also houses an internet café and sells tourism related postcards, maps and books. The company also provides an essential marketing service to local product owners by organising local tourism fairs, hosting websites, providing administrative assistance, compiling brochures, and through the facilitation of and participation in development projects.
