Middelburg Correctional Services opened this shop to serve as an outlet for handcraft created by convicts and ex-convicts, due to the difficulty they experience in finding employment after their rehabilitation. Exceptionally skilled crafts like pot spoons, cushions, book covers, ornaments and place mates are sold here, providing the crafters with a basic daily income.
The shop also serves as a training centre for those who have yet to develop the necessary skills.
