Situated in the heart of the succulent karoo is the Namaqua National Park base, namely Skilpad. Visitors can enjoy a donkey ride in these beautiful surroundings. The spectacular extravaganza of the flowers during season can also be viewed during these rides – these create the perfect photographic opportunities. The best time to view the flowers is from July to September.
The donkey cart can take up to 12 people per ride – perfect for a family adventure. They also sell traditional products and locally homemade produce such as jams and marmelades.
