Glenmore is situated on the banks of the Groot River, and has a fully equipped cottage that sleeps six people as well as camping facilities.
The private, fully equipped and serviced cottage is surrounded by the sounds of the birds and farm animals. There is a log fire and traditional paraffin lighting at night. Guest can cater for themselves (cooking and braai (barbeque) facilities are available) or enjoy, by prior arrangement, healthy farm-cooked meals. The bush campsite is situated on the banks of the Groot River in the shade of thorn trees. The campsite has flush toilets and hot water showers.
Guests can relax in the invigorating Karoo air, take a walk round the farm, fish in the river or watch the birds. 79 Species have been identified on the farm so far and a pair of fish eagles liked Glenmore so much they have made it their home. There is also boating on the river – a canoe and paddleski are provided.
Other activities include going hiking or climbing in the Groot River Mountains, mountain biking or 4×4’ing on one of the many trails and exploring the caves in the area.
Glenmore farm also provides for hunting and game-watching.
