  • Sunrise safari:  The safari leaves before dawn for game-viewing in the area and returns via the Amathole Museum in King William’s Town;
  • Cultural tours:  The cultural tours highlight the history and culture of the Xhosa people with a visit to a typical village with discussions on the traditions and history of the Xhosa nation. Traditional Xhosa food and drinks are also on offer;
  • Township tour:  This day tour visits Mdantsane, Zwelitsha, Bisho and King William’s Town. The tour highlights the contrasting cultures of the area and the struggle against apartheid. The tour also visits the site of the Steve Biko massacre, his grave and his place of birth, Ginsberg Township;
  • Contrasts and the struggle:  This tour of the ‘Frontiers and Pioneers’ route visits the town of Alice, home of the University of Fort Hare and Lovedale College, where many of our leaders of today were educated, including former president Nelson Mandela. Other stops include the De Beers Centeneray Art Gallery and the Amathole Musuem.  This tour encompasses the history and culture of an area of great natural beauty, where forts and battlefields remain as monuments of earlier times. The tour also includes a game drive in one of the local game reserves;
  • The Wildlife Experience:  This tour visits the Double Drift Game Reserve and Mvubu Lodge on the banks of the Great Fish River. Accompanied by a ranger you can go on game walks, a bird-watching day and evening game drives; and
  • The Madiba Explorer:  This tour visits the Nelson Mandela Museum in Umtata and passes by Qunu where Madiba grew up. If time permits the tour also stops off at Mandela’s place of birth, Mvezo.
