Mankwe Heritage Tours, the first and only black-owned safari operator at the Pilanesberg National Park, was started through hard work and the dedication of a loyal team.
It is a subsidiary of Mankwe Heritage Safaris, a black empowerment company driven by its concern for the previously-disadvantaged groups in the community. Its mission is to manage and finance sustainable community development and upliftment projects.
Mankwe Tours not only boasts of a well-established, indeed thriving business, it is also a provider of top-quality services to its many clients. The company owns a fleet of luxury tour vehicles varying in capacity from 3-seater sedans to 10-seater microbuses with luggage trailers. All vehicles carry valid road transport permits, passenger liability insurance and are operated by drivers with professional driving permits.
“We offer heritage tours that are unique experiences, unparalleled in their significance and diversity,” says Bernard Marobe, proud recipient in 2001 of South African Tourism’s inaugural Emerging Tourism Entrepreneur of the Year Award.
