Nambwa Community Campsite

The Nambwa Community Campsite is part of the Mayuni Conservancy and was started in 2003. The campsite was identified by elders in the community and developed with help from the IRDNC.

To reach the campsite, visitors first need to pay the Susuwe Park Ranger on the opposite side of the road, just left of the Bum Hill Campsite. After paying, cross the main road and follow the dirt road for approximately 45 minutes. The campsite can be accessed with a four-wheel drive vehicle only.

The campsite consists of six sites with neatly kept ablution facilities. All the sites are located close to the Kwando River and hippos are regular visitors to the campsite. All sites also have views over the floodplain and the site is renowned for its birdlife.
