Part of the fee for the tour goes to support Emzini’s projects:
Lukhanyiso Safe House:
We have built three safe houses for abused women and children. At the moment we look after 13 children full time, aged from two years old to 17 years old. We uplift these children spiritually and physically and pay for all their daily needs and education.
Emzini Skills Centre:
We have set up a Skills Centre in Knysna Central to uplift the township people. All courses are free of charge and this builds confidence and equips people to be better able to be employed.
Soup kitchen:
We have a Soup Kitchen at the one Safe House and this feeds any hungry children in the area on a daily basis.
Councelling centre:
We have a small counselling centre – where Ella is able to sit quietly one on one or with a group and uplift and advise concerning any problems – from abuse, divorce, HIV to give a person hope, direction and love to carry on in life.
Education project:
We have a commitment to help and encourage any child in the township with education. If they cannot afford a school uniform for instance, we will buy them one, if they cannot pay any school fees, we will pay them.
Animal welfare:
We are not only passionate about the children in the township, but have a big project towards the welfare of Township animals. We provide dog food on every tour. Most of the dogs know us and come for food. We provide shelters and basic medication.
