Leopard Lodge is situated on the banks of the Kafue River with breathtaking views overlooking a natural hot spring. The plains stretch for miles and are home to many species of wildlife. Game-viewing can be safely done whilst taking a leisurely walk or a day/night game drive. Leopard Lodge has a resident leopard and lion that have been sighted within the camp catching impala, puku and bushbuck.
Leopard Lodge offers many activities including boat cruises on the Kafue river where you can watch the abundant birdlife, including fish-eagles as they swoop down to retrieve their next meal. Fishing for bream, pike, catfish and barbell (to mention a few) is therapeutic and peaceful pastime and the less adventurous can simply relax with a sundowner on the deck in the late afternoon.
Facilities:
The lodge consists of five individually thatched chalets. Most of the thatched brick-built chalets sleep two people in en-suite facilities, but extra beds can be provided on the enclosed veranda. One chalet has two rooms that share a bathroom. Mosquito nets are provided for all beds and all bedding is a hundred percent percale cotton. A restaurant and bar is available.
The campsite has hot showers, flush toilets and a sink for washing dishes.
